about me

Hi, I’m Carey

I believe we’re all capable of meaningful change—and that healing happens in safe, supportive spaces. My role is to listen, help you clarify what you want, and gently explore what might be getting in the way.

I often work with people navigating big life transitions—like faith shifts, divorce, coming out, or major career changes. I have a special passion for supporting those facing spiritual trauma, LGBTQ+ identity and family dynamics, and women rebuilding after divorce. I also frequently work with clients living with chronic illness, as well as those experiencing grief and loss. Many of my clients also struggle with perfectionism and the pressure to over-perform—often tied to anxiety, depression, OCD, or ADHD. We work together to untangle these patterns and find a more grounded, compassionate way forward.

As a marriage and family therapist, I’m trained in helping people improve their relationships—whether you’re coming in as a couple, a family, or on your own. I’m also trauma-focused and trained in EMDR, which can be a powerful tool for healing.

So often, we get stuck in patterns that no longer serve us. As Maya Angelou said, “I did then what I knew how to do. Now that I know better, I do better.” It’s a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they grow—and I deeply believe in their ability to create something new.
